*Starred Review* In her latest novel, Serle (In Five Years, 2020) takes readers on a journey focused on the grief of losing a close parent and fighting to maintain a marriage. Katy is beyond consoling when her mother passes away. Add in the fact that her marriage is falling apart and that's a recipe for a much-needed getaway to Italy. Serle dabbles with time travel again, but this go-around Katy magically meets her mother as she was when she lived many years ago in Positano, Italy. Pushing aside the bizarre machinations of the time travel plot, Lauren Graham beautifully narrates this novel, with just the right lilt in her voice that perfectly matches Katy's personality. She takes the text of this novel and brings it to life. The description of the Italian food alone is worth the listen and will have readers rushing to their local, authentic Italian restaurants. Readers of Faye, Faraway (2021), and The Unsinkable Greta James (2022) will find a common wheelhouse in this title that is ideal for readers who enjoy armchair traveling.
