"The Arnold Palmer quote found at the start of this print tutorial-Golf is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated-nicely sums up the book itself: though filled with shots of bucolic greens and happy kid golfers, the content found within is overwhelming. At first, the book can be disorienting with the amount of information it throws at the reader-clothing, techniques, gear, and so much more. Thankfully, it slows down to dwell upon single topics: golf courses, lining up a shot, chipping, lost balls, scoring, and everything else you can imagine. Filled with insets and step-by-step photos, the layout is fabulous, though perhaps a bit busy for those without any prior knowledge of the sport. A great range of multicultural children serve as models, and these photos commingle with sharp action shots of some of the past and current greats. Kids are probably best served to get some real-life experience first, but after that, it's hard to imagine a resource that goes as deeply into negotiating doglegs as it does extreme golf."
